Scott Shirley

Hi, I'm Scott Shirley. Welcome to my profile!

I currently serve as Executive Director for Uplifting Athletes, a full service national nonprofit foundation serving the rare disease community of nearly 30 million Americans. I am responsible for the strategic planning of the national charter, providing leadership and vision for the organization, managing programs and operations, developing the Board of Directors and fundraising. I am an Executive Scholar from the Kellogg School of Management and have also earned my Masters of Engineering from Penn State University. Prior to Uplifting Athletes, I held my "dream job" as a Project Engineer with Clark Construction Group in DC. I didn't envision leaving so soon, but when the non-profit I had created with fellow teammates during my time at Penn State began to take off, I knew running Uplifting Athletes full time was my new calling. We continue to nearly double in size every year and have recently taken on many exciting projects and partnerships. I have never lost my passion or desire to build things - only now I choose to build businesses and relationships for a greater cause. Specialties: Non-Profit Management, Business Consulting, Construction Management and Professional Speaking
